From the very dawn of society, these holy utterings have always united a man & a woman in internal tie.

Our story is about Archana & Sukhendu. She is well-to-do, and he is a poor professor, yet they have loved each other and are united in marriage. They have dreams of a happy life where there will be perfect understandings between husband and wife.

Yet there flows in human mind an under - current of emotions, where the basic human values---love and morality, still dominate. And hence, though legally separated, Archana and Sukhendu are still inwardly pining for each other. And on the night of her sister’s marriage, the holy utterings from the Veda -  “SO YOU ARE MY WIFE-ETERNAL” -  have a new significance for Archana, she runs to meet her husband, only to discover that Sukhendu has disappeared leaving behind his home, his service and his country.

For Archana now remains nothing but an eternal waiting with a cherished hope of Sukhendu’s return.
